Procedure

In the procedure you describe how participants were allocated into groups, you state the instructions given to participants, and you state the nature of the task they followed. Describe the task in precise detail, stating any measurements (such as the dimensions of any materials shown, the timing of the presentation of materials, and so on) as clearly as possible.

If you think it important that the reader knows what the instructions were exactly then enter them here. Otherwise, if the instructions were not straightforward or they were lengthy then include them as an appendix. If the instructions are not repeated here then state their general gist and whether (and in what way) they were different between conditions or groups. Text entered in the middle box (instructions to participants) will be formatted as an indented paragraph in the text, as below.
