One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for a Repeated Measures Variable

When this test is selected, you are presented with a list (if there are many variables) to select the levels of comparison. In the above example, the IV list length is selected (the levels are 6 items, 9 items, and 12 items) and the DV in this example is the percentage of items correctly recalled. Once the variable has been selected, you can then click 'OK' to generate a brief description of the test.

Click the 'Next' button to continue. When you do this you can enter the test result:

You should also enter the means and stadard deviations for each level if you wish to produce a textual, graphical, or tabulated description of the data.

When these data have been entered, click 'Save Textual Description' to examine the textual description of the analysis (use 'Plot This' to create a plot of the data and 'Table This' to produce a table of the data). In this example the description is:

Next >> One Way Independent Measures ANOVA

This test is used when the data is at least interval, when you are looking to test for differences, and when there are more than two levels (conditions) of a single independent variable (e.g., you have three or more conditions that one sample of participants undertake).
